We have been spending a lot of time making connections, helping the underserved and those in need get to and from the appointments and services. Now we have found a house to begin the next phase. We discovered this home on the Kansas City dangerous building list. We were able to take a tour of the place. Even though it really needs a lot of work, the foundation was solid. There were wonderful unique surprises that would make this home the perfect place to restore. From pocket doors and spacious rooms to the large solid front porch where we can all gather to fellowship on nice days. What a great metaphor for the people we want to help. No matter how bad things may look, it is not too late to rebuild and restore from the inside-out!
To restore this historic home, we need your help now! We need to get a new tap water line installed to the house and trees removed before we can begin construction. Once we get that done, we need to get a new roof installed before we can begin construction on the inside. We need to get started now to keep this home off of the demolition scope. The city needs to see progress being made or they could put the home back on the list. This is a big, intensive project. But we can see the vision coming to fruition with your support. Every dollar donated goes directly to the house restoration.
